If you saw my Bourjois A-Z of Beauty Giveaway Winnings post you’ll have seen I was lucky to get my hands on several things from Bourjois, and one of them included one of the Shine Edition Lipsticks in the shade Rouge Making Of. Being a complete lipstick addict this is one of the first things I got around to playing with first. I also thought that out of everything the packaging stood out the most.
First thing I thought when I tried this was how it reminded me of the Revlon Lip Butters. The packaging, texture and the balm like feel of it, are all very similar. One thing that I found to be different is the pigmentation of the colour. I have the shade Rouge Making Of, a gorgeous bright red shade, and I found that once applied it stayed on for hours. In fact I completely forgot I even applied it and caught my reflection hours later to find it was still there. Just like the Revlon Lip Butters I found it to be super moisturising, which will come in pretty handy now we’re approaching the winter months. I’m not normally a bright red lip type of girl, in fact I’ve only just started venturing out into the world of a dark red lip. So when I first opened this I thought it seemed a little bright, and wasn’t too sure if this would be for me. However when I applied it I found it didn’t come out so bright, and you could even apply it with a lip brush if you wanted a more softer colour.
I think I’m some what smitten with this Shine Edition Lipstick, and I think it may be making several appearances in my daily make up. I’m now even eyeing up some more of the Bourjois Shine Edition Lipsticks…
Mothers Day is a special day to treat your mums and to show them how special they are. I always like to show my mum how much she’s appreciated, but this year is extra special, 5 months ago mum had her stroke, and we’re all amazed with her progress. After giving us all such a horrible…
I love a good foundation, well who doesn’t? I can’t remember the last time I did my make up without using the stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t cake my face in the stuff, just a light covering around my face. I only use one brand of foundation – Rimmel London. After years of…

It always comes to a surprise to me when I start writing my Christmas gift guides every year, how has it got to this point in the year already! I love Christmas shopping, but sometimes getting the ideas together can be bit of a struggle. This is why I love gift guides, they can give…
It feels like its been absolutely forever since I’ve done a NOTD post! Despite being a nail varnish addict I haven’t done a NOTD post since mid August??!?! Wow. I’m constantly painting my nails and lately I’ve been getting a little bored of my nail polishes. Even though I have a rather large collection, I’ve…
Sleep is something that I’ve always struggled with. I usually struggle to fall asleep before 2am, and find myself tossing and turning all night before waking up in the morning still feeling as tired as I did when I went to bed. I’ve learnt a few tricks over the years that have helped me drift…
