It always comes to a surprise to me when I start writing my Christmas gift guides every year, how has it got to this point in the year already! I love Christmas shopping, but sometimes getting the ideas together can be bit of a struggle. This is why I love gift guides, they can give you some great ideas, and maybe even ideas you wouldn’t have previously thought about! This year I’ve got some great ideas in my gift guides, starting with gifts for her.
What’s Christmas without a good book to read? Sarah Morgan’s latest book is the perfect Christmassy read this year, described as the picture-perfect love story. It would be a great gift to sit down with with a hot chocolate and a blanket of a cold winter evening!
Ping Ping is a chain of London dim sum restaurants, who not only serve amazing food, but amazing tea. They have a range of flowering teas that look ever so pretty. They come in little balls and once in hot water they open up into pretty little flowers. I think their a great idea for Christmas gifts, or for entertaining guests over the Christmas period as they are some what of a talking point.
Peanuts Nail Varnish Trip With Snoopy Stickers £8 // Sunkissed Natural Palette £6.99 // Peanuts and Snoopy Lip Balms £5 – Primark
Primark has surprised me with it’s gift offerings this year, especially in their beauty department. I think these three gifts would make lovely stocking fillers, and I love the Peanuts and Snoopy items! The Sunkissed Natural Palette is very similar to the Naked Palette with a little added shimmer to some of the shades, great for someone who’s a lover of neutral palettes!
Set of 12 Colouring Pencils £5.99 // Bic Ball Pens £2.49 // Bic 4 Colours Original £2.29 // Bic Cristal Fun Pack £3.99 – Bic
These days adult colouring is all the rage, with hundreds of variations of colouring books available. It’s the perfect way to relax over Christmas, and colour away while watching Christmas films. If you’re giving your loved ones a colouring book this year, or maybe treating yourself to one, you need some decent colouring pens and pencils to go with it. This year Bic have lots of colourful pens and pencils to go with them, and I think the tin of colouring pencils makes an especially lovely gift.
Boxcitement is a monthly subscription box designed for those who love contemporary design. It contains premium stationary, as well as jewelry gifts, and everyday gifts. What makes Boxcitement different is that all items are designed exclusively for them, and are made in limited quantity. This particular box is made up with some cool handmade cards, tea complete with a handmade spoon and coaster, a colouring pad and pen, a handmade necklace, and some cute bits of ribbon. This would make an awesome gift for friends, or those who love stationary bits and pieces!
I find it can be difficult to buy beauty products for my friends and family, especially as they all have different tastes. Nelson’s has a great range of products for around the £10 mark for those who love beauty products, or those who are fitness fanatics. The bath and massage balm is perfect for winding down after the stress of Christmas, the rosehip oil can work wonders for dry winter skin, the calendula cream good for keeping your skin and nails in tip top condition, and the cooling gel is perfect for any sporty or active people helping to cool and revive overworked legs.
Treat a loved one to this Baylis & Harding slipper set this Christmas. It comes with everything you need for a good pamper; a tube of foot lotion, foot soak crystals, and some gorgeous fuzzy white slippers. I’m thinking of getting my mum one for her to put her feet up with after all her hard work this Christmas.
For those who love beauty gifts, Avon has loads of choices this year, and I’ve already stocked up on a few from my local Avon lady! One thing that stood out to me this year was the Planet Spa Body Butters, and this set of 3 is only £8. Each set is made up of Perfectly Purifying (with dead sea minerals), Blissfully Nourishing (with African shea butter), and Caribbean Escape (with pearl extract).
Why not give the gift of organisation this year with a personalised diary from TOAD Diary. You’re able to make the start day from whenever you like, rather than just January, and end date, making your diary anywhere from 4 months to 3 years long. You’re also able to chose any combination of page size and layout format, and customise your own wording for the front cover. It’s a great gift for the stationary lover like me, or someone with a busy schedule so they can keep an eye on what their doing!
If you know anyone who’s like me and loves candles, this is a perfect Christmassy candle! On the Amara website there’s a great range of gifts, but this candle is particularly lovely. Once lit it fills the room with a seasonal fragrance of white plum, dried cherry, powdered sugar, toasted hazelnuts and lemon zest. The tin it comes in is also super cute and colourful, and would be great to hang onto once the candle has finished.
I hope this gift guide gives you a couple of ideas of what to buy for gifts for her this year! I’ve got a couple more gift guides coming up in the next few weeks, so keep an eye out!
Woah when did this year go past so fast? I swear yesterday we were seeing in the new year, and now it’s already 6 months through it! Although May is my favourite month, as it’s my birthday in May! Also I’ve noticed I haven’t done a ‘favourites’ post in about 6 months – crazy. Need…
Ever since I bought my nail art pens that I blogged about here, I’ve got quite into nail art. I’m certainly no professional when it comes to nail art, but I have become quite good at some of the more simple designs. One of my favourite to do is leopard print. Leopard print is one of…
Vivo is a brand that I’ve heard good things about but have only tried out a few of their products. I’m also a huge lover of neutral eyeshadows, browns, beige’s taupe’s you name it, and I’ll wear it. So when I saw this 12 shade eyeshadow palette in my #JulyLondonMeetUp Goody bag I was really excited to try it out….
When it comes to foundation I’ve always been a heavy coverage kind of girl. It’s only in recent years since I’ve had luck with my skincare routine, that I’ve ventured to more of a light coverage. Still I’ve only ever used liquid foundations, mineral makeup is somewhat alien to me. In fact when it comes…
I’ve seen this new Batiste dry shampoo raved about recently between you bloggers and I thought I’d give it ago myself, because well who doesn’t love hair with more volume? I’m constantly trying different products and techniques with my hair to give it more volume, so I thought why not try out this dry…
I’ve been terrible at updating my blog on my spending ban challenge lately. So bad that since my last update I haven’t wrote another one in three weeks, oops. To be honest I’m finding there isn’t a lot to update on lately. I’ve been being good and have hardly bought any beauty products unless it’s something I…
