Lush Let The Good Times Roll

It’s pretty safe to say that I’m a Lush addict. And every year when the Christmas range is released I got and spend a fortune stocking up on my seasonal favourites. I normally just stick to the bath bombs and bubble bars, but this year I decided to try a few other things for the Christmas range, and took a look at some of the skin care items. This year there’s five different skin care products, including a limited edition face mask. I picked up a few bits including Let The Good Times Roll.

Let The Good Times Roll is made with corn oil, polenta, maize flour, and cinnamon, which just makes it smell festive. In fact it reminds me of when you bake Christmas cookies, so it’s pretty hard not to eat it. Lush refers to it as the “perfect recipe to gently exfoliate, moisturise, and soften your skin for those times when you want to get ready for close-ups”. It’s a bit more unusual than some of their other cleansers, as you have to take a part off and run it under water so it becomes a paste before you can use it.  It’s referred to as a gentle cleanser, but I find it to be more of a facial scrub as when you use it it feels more like an exfoliator. So I’ve been using another cleanser beforehand, and then using this after to exfoliate. I found this to be super moisturising, and my skin felt really soft afterwards. It was also really good at getting rid of any dry skin I had.

I’ve really been loving using this, mostly for how amazing it smells. When the weather gets colder my skin really suffers and becomes really dry, so I think I’ll be using this a lot over the Christmas months. I’m not sure if this was around last year during the Christmas Lush season, but I heard a rumor that it’s now become a permanent part of Lush’s skin care range!
