My Nail Care Routine

Hi there girlies!

As many of you know I am a self confessed nail varnish addict. I love the stuff, I now have 56 bottles in my collection so I’m just ever so slightly addicted. Well lately I’ve started a job where I can’t wear nail varnish – absolute horror for someone who’s addicted. Although I can’t wear my nail varnishes as much anymore, there is a slight upside to it. After spending around 10 months applying nail varnish to my nails every 2 days or so, my nails have been left slightly worse for wear. They’ve been left slightly discolored although I always apply a base coat, and my nails themselves are actually peeling -eek! Well deciding my nails need a well deserved break, I decided to embrace the no nail varnish ways and treat my nails to some much needed T.L.C.

So here are some products I’ve been using to help out my poor neglected nails

Hello Kitty Nail File
Well what can I say, I’m addicted to Hello Kitty. I don’t really know why I just love her. I saw this nail file a while back when I was on holiday in Rome with the parents and begged my mumma to buy it for me. And well it may not be the best of the nail files, but it is my favourite!

Rimmel London Nail Rescue 14 Day Nail Hardening Treatment
I bought this a while back before starting my job with the intention of using it, but I couldn’t bear to be without my nail varnish for 2 weeks. Rimmel claims ‘longer, stronger, harder and more resilient nails in 2 weeks. Reduces chipping and splitting’. I’ve been using it for around 2 weeks now, and already I’m impressed with the improvement of my nails! Gone are the days of splitting, breaking and peeling, and my nails are growing back much harder and stronger. I’m going to keep using this for a while now and hopefully my nails will be in a much better condition!

LUSH Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter
I know I keep writing about this in other posts and saying how much I love it, but seriously its such an amazing product! I’ve been using it on my cuticles for just over a month now, and its made such a difference to my cuticles. And its lasting me so well! I’ve used it religiously 3 times a day and it still looks like it hasn’t been touched. Its helping out my poor neglected nails so well, gone are the days of manky looking cuticles, and now I have professional looking gorgeous cuticles.

Soap & Glory Hand Food
Well not really used so much for my nails, but certainly its helping out my hands (you can’t have nice nails with horrible hands really can you?). I suffer from dry skin absolutely everywhere, I also have eczema so I coat myself in moisturiser daily to try and keep it at bay. My hands suffer quite a lot from dryness and Soap & Glory’s Hand Food seems to be the holy grail of hand creams for me. It smells so gorgeous, and helps out my poor dry hands. I use it again quite religiously and a 125ml tube lasts me a good 2-3 months if not more.

Hopefully I’ll keep up my little nail care routine and soon my neglected nails will be back into their tip top form!
