Rimmel London Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tint & Balm

I’ve been putting off doing this review for a while. I hate doing negative reviews, my mum always taught me if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything. But I’m always honest about a product I’m reviewing, and so I thought I should share with you my experience

“Apply the colour on clean bare lips for all day colour and apply balm to add moisture and shine once the colour is dry”

First of all I want to say I did really love this product when I first used it. I thought the colour range was great, and the colour I picked out ‘Nothing But Nude’, was the colour I’ve been looking for for ages. I thought the packaging was pretty basic, but straight to the point. You can never go wrong with simple packaging on a lip product. The thing I love about lip pens like this is how you can draw around the lips and colour them in, it’s so much easier to apply. The night I used it the colour lasted for hours, I hardly had to top it up. It even lasted while I was eating and drinking. At the time, I was pretty impressed.
Sadly this is where my love of the product ends. The problem with lip pens is, unlike lipsticks where you can see how much is left, you can’t tell how much product you have left. One day you’ll just be using it, and it will dry up. I’ve used lip pens like this before, but I’ve managed to get a decent amount of uses out of them before they ran out. The fact I only got to use this  once before it tried up is just ridiculous, especially when I spent £6.99 on it. I want to say it was my fault, and that I hadn’t put the lid on properly, but I had.
I wanted to love this product, I really did. I always think this sort of thing would be amazing if it actually worked. Sadly it looks like it wasn’t meant to be. It’s not all bad though, it does come with a pretty good lip balm. It’s a shame because I’ve always loved Rimmel London’s products, and the colour range on these was perfect for me. Just sadly I’m so disappointed with this, it’s starting to put me off lip pens.
Rating – 1/10. For the one night it worked, it was amazing. Sadly I can’t afford to spent £7 every time I want to use one.
Have you used this?
How was your experience?
