MUA Power Pouts

You may have seen on my latest Haul Post that the lovely Shona from Fresh Beauty XOX talked me into buying a couple of the MUA Power Pouts. We stood there in Superdrug swatching them, and Shona convinced me I needed these in my life. It’s been a while since I’ve used any MUA products, and the last time I did I was rather disapointed, so I wasn’t sure what to expect with the Power Pouts. Still I loved the look of the colours and out of the 6 available shades I picked up the shades Irreplaceable, Broken Hearted, and Justify and decided to give them ago.

Left to Right – Irreplaceable, Broken Hearted and Justify.

The first thing I liked about the MUA Power Pouts is the fact it’s like a lip crayon. I’m not the neatest of people, so when lip products are in pen form it makes it a lot easier for me to drawn on and colour in my lips. Another thing I noticed when using the Power Pouts is how moisturising they are. Sometimes lip products can really dry out my lips, but these Power Pouts feel like a lip treatment, leaving my lips feeling soft and nourished. And the final thing that I like about the Power Pouts is how well the colour lasts. They work like a lip tint staining your lips, making it last all day on your lips. I’ve used these on a couple of evenings out where I’ve been eating and drinking and they’ve still stayed on well!

I’ve got to say I’m impressed with the MUA Power Pouts and think that at £3 each they’re a great affordable alternative to a lot of lip crayons I’ve seen. I’m glad MUA have restored my faith in them again. Now I’m tempted to buy the other 3 shades…

  • Natural Sea Sponge

I’ve never really been a fan of using sponges in the shower, I’ve always found them to be scratchy and irritating on my skin, and the sponges themselves always seem to go out of shape and grow mouldy.
