Cosywool Knitting Competition

A few months ago I got asked if I wanted to take part in a knitting competition by Cosywool. I’m far from being a strong knitter, but since learning to knit last year I’ve found that I’m getting quite good at it. 




Luckily for me the competition wasn’t too complicated, it was just to knit a scarf in any style I wanted. It took me a little while to come up with an idea, and something I’ve wanted to knit for a while is a fox scarf. I’d seen the pattern on Etsy and thought it didn’t look like it would be too complicated! As I signed up the competition fairly early, I also received £5 of wool to knit my scarf with, and I chose 2 balls of this Cygnet Chunky Yarn in orange. I ended up buying another ball of the orange, and then one black and one white for the legs and tail. 








The pattern was pretty easy to follow, and I only used stocking stitch for the whole scarf so it was pretty easy. It was just rather time consuming as it was such a big project, luckily I had a good few months to do this!








I wish I’d made the scarf a little longer, as when you wear it it doesn’t hang down that far, but I think it still looks great. I’ve had a few people compliment me on this, so it makes me think I’ve done a good job!
