Current Everyday Makeup

During the week I don’t have a lot of time to get ready in the mornings so I’ve been keeping my makeup pretty simple so I don’t have to get up so early. I’ve got my makeup routine down to a fine art now, sticking to only a few products. I’ve been using a sample of Clinique’s new Moisture Surge CC Cream as a base, which isn’t too heavy a base for the summer but still gives me enough coverage. I then use my Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer to cover up any blemishes and under my eyes, and then use Bourjois Healthy Balance powder to set my make up. I then use the shade ‘Faint’ from my Urban Decay Basics palette to fill in my eyebrows before using the Bourjois liquid eyeliner to create a winged eyeliner look, and then my Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde mascara. I then finish off my makeup with Benefit’s Lollitint using it as a cheek and lip colour, hurrah for multi purpose products!

I love doing simple makeup looks during the week, especially as I’m just going to work and don’t feel like I’ve got the time to be very experimental with my makeup. I also find it’s good to have only a few products, then I can speed up my makeup application and save more time for sleep ;).

A while ago I never understood why anyone would pay around the £20/30 mark for a foundation. I just didn’t understand why you’d spend so much money on a foundation when you can buy a ‘drugstore’ version for around the £10 mark. I thought surely they can’t provide that much more coverage, or make my…
