NOTD – Strawberry Nail Art

I decided to give a go at nail art! This is the first time I’ve tried it out and I’m surprised at how easy it was to do.

Here’s what I did to create my strawberry nails:

I used Models Own Red Alert, and Barry M’s Mint Green, and Black to create my nails

I first started by using Models Own Red Alert to paint my nails red. I used two coats, even though one coat covered it well.

Then I used Mint Green to paint on triangles on the nails. I used two coats to make the green stand out against the red. Some tutorials suggest painting it white first, and then going over it in green to make it stand out, but I don’t have a white so I used the green. I still think it stands out just as well without the white underneath.

I then painted on black dots on to the nails for the seeds. I’ve seen tutorials where people have used yellow or white dots, but I don’t have those colours so I just used black.

Once my nails had dried I applied a coat of Seche Vite over the top to ensure it was dry and give them a shiny look.

I’m very pleased with the outcome of my nails. I’ve never experimented with nail art before so I didn’t know how it would turn out, but I was surprised at how easy it was! I think I’ll be trying out other designs in the future!
