How I Messed Up With Absolutely Flawless Nail Foils

Nail foils are something I’ve been wanting to try for absolutely ages so when I saw they were in my She Said Beauty Box, I was super excited. Nail foils have always intrigued me, I’ve never quite got my head around how to use them. They always looked a bit fiddily and difficult to apply, and I was pretty sure I’d mess up on applying them. And I did.

When it came to applying them it was pretty straight forward. You took the nail foil off, applied it to the nail, and cut the excess off. What could go wrong? I managed to apply my nail foils, and they looked really good. Problem was they only stayed on my nails for about an hour. Suddenly every time I touched something the ends flipped up and they kept peeling. I started to get really annoyed with them and took them off after 2 hours. I then saw on Twitter that Tattooed Tealady was having the exact same problem as me. Maybe nail foils weren’t for me? Maybe they weren’t worth the hassle? No I just applied them wrong! As the lovely Sophia explained in her blog post you were meant to apply them with a hair-dryer. The nail foils told me to ‘apply with heat’, but like Sophia I didn’t realise it meant hair-dryer heat. Oops. I wish I’d realised this because the nail foils were so pretty! So if you want to know how to apply these nail foils PROPERLY I’d reccomend reading this post here by Samantha from the Lifestyle Graduate, so you don’t make the same mistake as me!

My nail foil disaster hasn’t put me off and now I know how to apply them properly I think I might give them another go in the future! Also Absolutely Flawless Nail Foils only cost £1.90 for a pack of 32!
Have you tried nail foils before?
Did you make the same mistakes as me?
