2015 Resolutions… Did I Stick To Them?

How is it nearly the end of the year already? This year seems to have completely whizzed past, and I have no idea where it’s gone. So last year I made some new years resolutions, as I do every year and then immediately forget them all come March. Although I may have forgotten them, it’s nice to look back on them at the end of the year, just to see how I’ve got on and if I managed to stick to them at all!

Move out
Last year Chris moved from up north into my parents house with me in the hope of us saving some money and getting our own place. However it didn’t happen in 2014, so I wanted to focus on that for 2015, and did it happen? YES. At the end of February our offer was accepted on a flat, and after loads of hassle we finally flew the nest in July, and have been living in our little flat for over 5 months now!

Lose some weight
Standard resolution I make every year, and did I do it? Big fat (fat being the appropriate word here) nope. I joined Slimming World in November and after all of the Christmas festivities I now weight 2lbs more than when I joined, so you can tell how that’s going. Although I haven’t lost any weight, I’ve gained a whole load of love for myself this year.

Move forward with my career
In 2014 after much hassles of being unemployed and being in a job I hated, I finally landed my dream job! I’m lucky that I work for somewhere I enjoy, so I plan on being there for a good few years. I wanted to move forward with my career this year, and I’m happy that I have. Nothing massive, but I manage an account, look after the companies social media, blog and newsletter, and although I do all these with a little help, it’s still a big step in the right direction!

Keep up with a blog schedule
Well looking back on this one is just hilarious, it’s safe to say I haven’t done this in the slightest! 2015 has been a very busy year, what with moving house, having a social life and wanting to spend time away from the internet I haven’t done a whole load of sticking to a schedule!

Create some savings
Can I give myself half a point for this one? I did, but then I bought a flat so became very poor, and now I’m starting to build up some savings again. By starting to, my joint account has £136 saved for emergencies right now…

Well when you look back on my resolutions it doesn’t seem like I achieved a whole load! Still 2.5 out of 5 isn’t too bad… Did you make any new year resolutions? How did you do?

    Inamo St James Review

A few months ago I discovered Inamo in Soho and discovered how amazing their food was.
