2015 Resolutions… Did I Stick To Them?

How is it nearly the end of the year already? This year seems to have completely whizzed past, and I have no idea where it’s gone. So last year I made some new years resolutions, as I do every year and then immediately forget them all come March. Although I may have forgotten them, it’s nice to look back on them at the end of the year, just to see how I’ve got on and if I managed to stick to them at all!

Move out
Last year Chris moved from up north into my parents house with me in the hope of us saving some money and getting our own place. However it didn’t happen in 2014, so I wanted to focus on that for 2015, and did it happen? YES. At the end of February our offer was accepted on a flat, and after loads of hassle we finally flew the nest in July, and have been living in our little flat for over 5 months now!

Lose some weight
Standard resolution I make every year, and did I do it? Big fat (fat being the appropriate word here) nope. I joined Slimming World in November and after all of the Christmas festivities I now weight 2lbs more than when I joined, so you can tell how that’s going. Although I haven’t lost any weight, I’ve gained a whole load of love for myself this year.

Move forward with my career
In 2014 after much hassles of being unemployed and being in a job I hated, I finally landed my dream job! I’m lucky that I work for somewhere I enjoy, so I plan on being there for a good few years. I wanted to move forward with my career this year, and I’m happy that I have. Nothing massive, but I manage an account, look after the companies social media, blog and newsletter, and although I do all these with a little help, it’s still a big step in the right direction!

Keep up with a blog schedule
Well looking back on this one is just hilarious, it’s safe to say I haven’t done this in the slightest! 2015 has been a very busy year, what with moving house, having a social life and wanting to spend time away from the internet I haven’t done a whole load of sticking to a schedule!

Create some savings
Can I give myself half a point for this one? I did, but then I bought a flat so became very poor, and now I’m starting to build up some savings again. By starting to, my joint account has £136 saved for emergencies right now…

Well when you look back on my resolutions it doesn’t seem like I achieved a whole load! Still 2.5 out of 5 isn’t too bad… Did you make any new year resolutions? How did you do?

    Happy New Year!

So here we are already, 2012!?! How insane is that?! Seems like only yesterday I was welcoming in the new year 2011, and now where here in 2012, crazy stuff. So how did I start my new year? I went up north to visit my boyfriend Chris, and we had a couple of friends over…

  • September Goals

Woah September, where did you crop up from? I guess I should now give up all hope of seeing a summer appearing now, but on the plus side it means autumn is popping up any day now. Bring on the days of hot chocolate, blankets and cosy evenings in.  Recently as each new month arrives…

  • Coronation Street Tour

Okay confession time, I’m a Coronation Street addict. Without fail I watch it every week, and I often spend my time looking up storyline spoilers. I’m sad I know. I’ve inherited my love of Corrie from my mum, who would always be watching it when I was younger, although it wasn’t until my university days that I started…

  • Mog On The Tyne

Having a boyfriend who’s from Sunderland, a lot of our ‘holiday’ time is spent travelling up the A1 to visit friends and family members up there. I enjoy visiting the north, but I do find it very different from down here. They use funny words for one thing. On our last trip up north I…
