Recently I blogged about how I wanted my hair to be in a better condition. After years of dying it and using heat, my hair is in a pretty terrible condition. I’m desperate for my hair to grow, and a friend told me my hair has no chance of growing if I continue to abuse it. A few months ago I saw Danielle’s blog post about strawberry curlers and bought myself some off ebay from this seller. I used them once on dry hair over night and decided I hated them and never tried them again.
That was a couple of months ago before I truly abused my hair with heat. Then the other day I decided to give them another go. I applied them to wet hair and waited a couple of hours for my hair to dry. I have naturally curly hair but because of how short it is, when it dries the curls are crazy and a frizzy mess, not nice curly locks like I would like. But after I took these out I was left with beautiful curls, that if I brushed turned into soft waves. Because the strawberries are made from sponge, their soft so are comfortable to sleep in if you want to leave them in overnight. I’ve used them on both dry and wet hair, but I’ve found better results if I leave them in wet hair.
Overall I’m really impressed, especially with how cheap these were. They come in packs of 12 which I found was enough for my hair as it’s only mid length. The instructions weren’t very clear but I found tons of tutorials on YouTube that show you how to apply them. I think these are great if your trying to use less heat on your hair but want to have movement and body in your hair. I’m certainly going to be using these more on my hair to give it a break from heat.
I’ve got really into doing ‘NOTD’ posts recently on the blog. They used to be something I’d post up if I couldn’t think of anything else to do on the blog, or if I wanted to quickly blog. But recently I’ve got more into looking after my nails recently, making sure my nails are in…
If you read my blog frequently you’ll know I’m bit of a skincare addict. I’m constantly talking about lotions and potions, but something I’ve only just started using properly is serums. I never used to understand how important they were in my skincare routine, and didn’t really know what ones were best for me. I…
Sleek have recently released their latest ‘nude collection’ and after seeing many blog posts on it, I had to get my hands on it! Nude’s really call out to me, I’m a massive fan of a nude look, all of my favourite eye shadows are the basic nudey/brown colour, I like the look of ‘minimal’ make up,…
I’m now a whole 28 days into my spending ban! Only 72 more days to go, but hey who’s counting? This week was another one of those ‘fail weeks’, once again I found I saved no money towards my savings this week, and I spent some money. I started my job on Monday, and never…
January has seen some great blog posts this month, it seems like everyone’s stepped up their blogging game lately. I’ve been reading loads of lovely posts and I thought I could share them and spread the love a little. Kat wrote about how to get the perfect winged eye liner and her tips have really helped me…
Recently I’ve been thinking a little more about how I treat my body. Not only am I trying to be healthier, and thinking about what I put in my body, but I’m also thinking about how I treat my skin. I never used to put much thought about what I was putting into, and onto…
