Feeling Thankful This Christmas

Christmas is my ultimate favourite time of the year! I love nothing more than giving presents to others and seeing how happy they are to receive them. Christmas is a time for family and spending the day with your loved ones, and this year I’m travelling the 300 miles up north to spend the festive season with my other halves family. Since Chris moved down south we don’t get to see them a lot, and I know they’ll be so thankful for our time.

This Christmas I’ve been thinking a lot about others, and this year I’m extremely thankful to have my mum back home and well for Christmas. You might have seen my post a few months ago about my mum and how lately she’s really not been well (you can read more about it here). The hospital mum stayed in in London was amazing to Mum and really got her back on her feet, and I wanted to see if I could give something back to them as a massive thank you. I then found The National Brain Appeal, who raise money for The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and knew I had to donate some money to them this Christmas. The care they provided mum was fantastic, and they were amazing with their amount of tests and research to find us answers and make Mum better, if it wasn’t for them I don’t know what would happen this Christmas.

This Christmas I’m extremely thankful to have my family alive and well, especially after the rough few months we’ve had. What are you thankful for this Christmas?

  • Two Years After Stroke

The 12th October 2014 is a date I’m always going to remember, for one of the worst reasons. Two years ago today, my mum had a stroke, caused by a nasal spray, although at the time I didn’t really know that’s what was happening. For a week before hand my mum had been having a migraine,…

This week has been a rather busy week, as you may have gathered from the lack of posts between last weeks update and this one. I started the week out still recovering from the worst cold ever and trying to get back into my gym routine, but by the end of the week I admitted defeat…
