Current Beauty Favourites

It’s been a while since I’ve talked much about beauty products on here, despite me originally writing this as a beauty blog. Over the past year my interests have moved away a lot from beauty, what with buying my flat, cooking more, and doing more crafty things, I have a lot more to say than just about beauty products. As well as that, this has also been a very expensive year of my life, and I’m now living on a budget, so don’t tend to spend a lot of my money on new beauty products anymore. Despite this, recently I’ve had a few current favourites that I thought I’d share.

I’ve been enjoying skincare a lot more recently, and a couple of friends have passed on skincare they didn’t get on with to me, so I’ve been having fun trying those out. Two moisturisers I’ve been enjoying are Boots Botanics Hydrating Night Cream, and L’occitane’s Creme Protectrice SPF 20 Day Cream. Both of which make my skin feel really soft, and I love the scent of the L’occitane one! A friend also recently gave me a bottle of Antonia Burrell’s Pure Therapy Facial Oil Serum, which I’ve been using a lot this winter as it’s been helping to keep my skin from drying out. For the rest of my skin I’ve been using Eloquence’s Nourishing Treatment Oil at night, which leaves my skin super smooth come the morning.

When it comes to makeup I’ve not been doing anything differently, I usually just throw anything on quickly in the morning and head out to work. However there are two products that I’ve been reaching for a lot recently, Bourjois’ Je T’aime Blusher in Rose Amber, and Clinique Chubby Stick in Grandest Grape. Both of which are lovely plummy shades that I’ve been obsessed with this winter, and I’ve been using the Chubby Stick a lot for various Christmas parties. Recently I lost my mascara so had to pick up an emergency one at my local Boots and picked up Soap & Glory’s Thick & Fast mascara, which I used to love years ago and completely forgot about. I also rediscovered my love for Marc Jacob’s Daisy Dreams perfume after Chris bought me a new bottle for Christmas, although it’s more of a summery scent I’m addicted to wearing it.

So that’s the 8 beauty products that I’m currently enjoying, do you have anything that’s been your favourite recently?
