If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
For the past couple of years I’ve heard great things about Moroccanoil. My hairdresser would rave about it, I’d see other bloggers and YouTubers rave about it, but I was yet to try it. For a long time I didn’t understand how using oil cold help my hair. Surely it would make it manky and…
Perfume is always something that interests me, but I’ve never had the chance to use many of. I normally ask for a Marc Jacobs one for Christmas (last year it was Daisy), which will last me all year and then I get a new one for Christmas. However this year my Marc Jacob’s ran out around…
I’ve never really been a fan of using sponges in the shower, I’ve always found them to be scratchy and irritating on my skin, and the sponges themselves always seem to go out of shape and grow mouldy. So when I was contacted by The Sponge Market I was a bit hesitant about using their sponges. But I was…
Now we have much darker days it’s pretty certain that we’re in the Autumn/Winter months. And when it becomes Autumn/Winter I tend to go towards more ‘seasonal’ shades. And one in particular is my love of dark red shades. Recently I took part in a blog swap where I recieved a dark red nail varnish in the…

I love them both as there such beautiful pale pink shades which are perfect for everyday use. Its only after owning them both for a while I realised how similar the two colours were….
There’s no denying it but every blogger probably owns the real technique brushes. Since these came out in Boots stores last year everyone has gone mental over them. I purchased mine back in July and since I bought them its changed how I do my make up. Once upon a time I used to apply…
