If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
A brand I hear a lot of positive things about is The Bluebeards Revenge. I’ve seen numerous male bloggers raving about their products recently, and it’s a brand I want to explore for my other half. Not being the expert in men’s grooming, I don’t know much about their products. But I have seen many…
[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text] Over the last couple of months there’s been some great freebies attached to my favourite magazines. And again this month isn’t any different! As I was in the shop to buy my monthly magazines last week, I saw that two of my favourites had some brilliant freebies yet again! Here’s what…
During the cold winter months my skin really starts to suffer. It becomes dry, sore, and I often get horrible flaky bits of skin. Going from cold to warm all the time really starts to play a toll on my skin, so during the colder months I like to step up my skincare game, and…
A while ago when lip crayons came out I wasn’t too sure about them. I was mainly a lipstick person, and didn’t really think much about lip crayons. Fast forward a few months, and now I’m obsessed. It started off with a couple of MUA’s lip colours, they only cost me a couple of quid,…
I’ve made it to week 7 of my 100 day spending ban! Which is something I didn’t think I’d be saying, to be honest I thought I’d give up on this idea pretty quickly. And as you can see from my previous posts the past few weeks I’ve not felt very positive about the whole…
Since dying my hair red it’s been one of the things I’m asked about frequently. About how I managed to get it so red, what hair dye do I use, what products do I use to keep it red. I get asked about it so much, through the blog, and in real life, that I’m…
