If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
A while ago I never understood why anyone would pay around the £20/30 mark for a foundation. I just didn’t understand why you’d spend so much money on a foundation when you can buy a ‘drugstore’ version for around the £10 mark. I thought surely they can’t provide that much more coverage, or make my…
I’ve been having trouble with my skin and spots ever since I can remember. I seemed to get spots before everyone else in my year at school, and hoped that one day I’d grow out of my terrible skin. But at 21, my skin is still awful. Admittedly I haven’t always looked after my skin,…
Gosh there’s been so many good freebies around this month! Another one I’ve managed to get my hands on is Marie Claire, with a Inika eye shadow or eyeliner, I managed to get the eye shadow. The eye shadow comes out as a silver/purple/glittery kinda colour, which I love although I haven’t had much of…
