If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
Soap & Glory are one of my favourite brands. For years now I’ve been browsing the range in Boots, and trying out several of their prodcuts. I don’t know if its the cute pink packaging or the scent, but I just love Soap & Glory. A couple of months back I wrote about my love…
Lush and skin care seem to be regular things being posted on the blog recently, so for today’s post I thought why not combine the two? Ha. After trying out Catatrosphe Cosmetic, I fell in love with Lush face masks. So when mine ran out I had to have another. Only problem with Lush face masks,…
These day’s there’s so many good blogs around, it’s hard to keep up with them all. I’m always looking out on Twitter or through others recommendations for new blogs to read, but there’s several that I find myself visiting on a daily basis. I’ve seen a few people talking about their favourite blog reads and I thought…
I can be a bit boring with my makeup choices, especially during the week while I’m at work and would rather have 5 minutes extra in bed. I try to change up my makeup routine now and then, but find I go back to the same products again and again. Currently I’ve been being a…
We’ve all heard about monthly beauty boxes in the beauty community haven’t we? Glossybox and Boudoir Prive are a couple of favourites in the beauty world. If you haven’t heard of monthly beauty boxes the idea is that you pay a monthly fee (usually around £10) and every month you get a few items sent…
I’ve never really been one for Valentines Day, and I never really have big plans for it. But the weather is starting to lighten up, and so is my makeup. Despite no big Valentines Day plans this year I’ve come up with a makeup look to mark the occasion. To start with I’m using my Bourjois…
