If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
I don’t usually do these types of posts, mostly because I have so many products that I hardly use them up on a monthly basis. But as I’m doing my spending ban I’m trying to use up as many products as I can to make room for new ones save some money. February was a good month for using us products…
Hurrah the sun is finally starting to come out! Gone are the days where I was still having to wear a coat to work, and sleep with a blanket on my bed, and now I’m starting to dig out my summer clothes and spend my afternoons sat in the sunshine. I love summer time, everyone…
That’s right I’m getting quite into this videoing myself lark! So I have another video for you lovely’s. I did a blog post a while back on my favourite summer nail polishes which you can see here if you missed it. So I thought I’d show you all again in video form! Seriously youtube why…
I was bitten by the nail art bug again recently and wanted to try out something new. I’m still not feeling massively confident about trying out some more complicated designs so I decided to go back to an old favourite, leopard print. Leopard print was the first thing I learnt to do with nail art,…
I recently saw this post on Jess’s blog, and thought I’d give it a go myself! Jess tagged anyone who was reading so thought I’d try it out, and I too tag anyone who’s reading, so give it ago! Make Up Blusher or Bronzer – I don’t really use either, but I guess blusher…
As I’m sure many of you are aware, Elle Magazine has been giving away Soap & Glory’s Thick & Fast mascara, which I managed to get my hands on the other day. I’m a big lover of Soap & Glory products but I haven’t tried out any of their cosmetic range yet, so I was…
