If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
Recently Kat from Tales Of A Pale Face organised an autumn blog swap and I was quick to put my name down for it. I was then paired up with the lovely Tasha from Wand Included. After a few emails we agreed on a budget to spend on each other, and had told each other our…
Recently I blogged about how I wanted my hair to be in a better condition. After years of dying it and using heat, my hair is in a pretty terrible condition. I’m desperate for my hair to grow, and a friend told me my hair has no chance of growing if I continue to abuse…
If you read my Christmas post you will have seen that my mum bought me Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion for Christmas. I’d never used it before but it’s something my mum swears by and has used for years, along with other Clinique products. As I suffer from very dry skin like my mum she thought this…
So its drawing nearer and nearer to summer! Gone are the dark depressing evenings, replaced with beautiful sunny days! As summer is approaching I decided I needed a new nail varnish that fitted in with the summer. After reading many of your blogs I saw this Barry M ‘Mint Green’ shown a lot on your NOTD’s…
Nail varnish is something that’s regularly featured on this blog. And I’ll have to admit, I’m an addict to the stuff. In fact a while a go I had around 70 bottles of the stuff, crazy right. Recently I decided that yes I did own to many nail polishes and made my collection smaller, giving…
I’m not usually one to get sucked in to the sales after Christmas, but this year I was sucked into a couple of 50% off sales, one being from The Body Shop. I love The Body Shop products and find I always have a ‘back up stock’ of them. I originally wasn’t going to make…
