If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
Lately I’ve got into a bad habit of eating too much rubbish, not doing an exercise, and basically being far too over-indulgent. Christmas is a big part to blame in it, and during the lead up I had a lot of Christmas parties I went to, where I made a lot of bad food choices. I went back to…
Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to the Rush Blogger Meet at the House Of Rush organised by the lovely Becky from Lipgloss and Lashes. The House of Rush is situated in central London, right in the heart of Piccadilly. I’d never heard of The House of Rush before, and it seemed different from…
I’m now three whole weeks into my 100 Day Spending Ban Challenge, which is a lot longer than I thought I would actually get to. Last week I blogged about how I broke my ban and found myself buying a few things. This week I managed to stick to plan, but I did have a…
When it comes to foundation I’ve always been a heavy coverage kind of girl. It’s only in recent years since I’ve had luck with my skincare routine, that I’ve ventured to more of a light coverage. Still I’ve only ever used liquid foundations, mineral makeup is somewhat alien to me. In fact when it comes…
I’ve been a little behind in blogging world recently but a few weeks ago I attended a bloggers tea party hosted by Aqua PR, Ajala Spa, and Sranrom at St Paul’s Grange Hotel with my good blogging friend Louise. I loved the idea of a tea party, and find myself to be bit of a tea…
[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text] I mentioned in my latest haul post that this year I’m putting myself on an 100 day spending ban. Me and the other half really want to move out of my parents house and get our own place, but we’re both terrible at saving money! We’ve sat down and worked out how…
