If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
Ever since I bought my nail art pens that I blogged about here, I’ve got quite into nail art. I’m certainly no professional when it comes to nail art, but I have become quite good at some of the more simple designs. One of my favourite to do is leopard print. Leopard print is one of…
I love Christmas time for the chance to play around with some nail art! Last year I created a few design ideas but decided on doing some Christmas Pudding nails for the big day itself. This year I haven’t had much time to sit down and do some nail art, but I still needed some festive nails…
As it’s a new year like most people, I’m trying to take better care of myself. Not only am I eating better, and trying to do more exercise, but I’m also trying to take better care of my skin. I often get in terrible habits of not washing my face properly, and just taking my makeup…
001. I’m starting to get used to being back home now – although I still haven’t got around to unpacking or cleaning my room up! I’ve been back at my job, so most of the time I’m working. Although I’m not a massive fan of my job, it’s sort of nice to be back and…
So hello October, how quickly it’s got to this! This year is flying past. September’s been a crazy busy month for me, what with packing and moving back to uni (another post on that soon!). I’ve been so busy with the moving back to uni I haven’t managed to find a spot where I can…
A few weeks a go I was spending far too much time in Boots, looking at make up I didn’t need, when I came across the new Maybelline Color Drama lip crayons. I have hundreds of lipsticks, but of course I needed these. I stood for ages swatching away at all the shades, but one…
