If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
This year I’m making the most of the bank holiday weekend and getting the chance to go away for a few days to visit my partners parents up north. I’m pretty excited as this is the first Easter weekend in years that I’m not working (stupid working in retail) or have 100’s of uni deadlines…
You may have noticed that in the past that all of my nail varnish choices have been around the grey/beige/taupe variety, but now the suns starting to come out, I’m in the mood to wear bolder brighter colours. In my Recent Beauty Buys post I mentioned that I bought one of Rimmel London’s Rita Ora nail varnishes in the…
So I’m now 35 days into my 100 day spending ban challenge, how am I getting on? To be honest not brilliant. As you might have read from other weeks I’ve failed a few times, and I’ve not really got any savings together. Although I’ve had another good week when it comes to not spending…
Today is the day that I start in the adult world of working! Now begins the days of early mornings, commuting and long days. Very similar to my Job Interview Makeup I want to make sure that my everyday makeup isn’t too over the top, but will last all day. I decided to start with one of my favourite…
Mothers Day seems to have just snuck up on me this year, it seems like only the other day I was writing Christmas related posts, and here we are in the middle of March! With the days just seeming to fly by I’ve been a little distracted on upcoming events and birthdays, and before I…
Recently I was tagged by the lovely Shona on the How Much Is My Face Worth tag and thought I’d give it a go. I remember doing this many moons ago and thought it was great fun and kind of interesting to see how much I actually spend on make up! Clinique Even Better Foundation – £24…
