If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
I can’t believe its February already?! I swear the other day it was Christmas! Anyway, with the month of February comes Valentines Day, a day where you should spoil the special someone in your life. So apart from the usual soppy rubbish, what are you supposed to buy the other half for valentines day? This is where…
Over the years I’ve found I’ve accumulated a whole pile of samples. Some are from past beauty boxes, some are from events, and some just seem to turn up from no where. I’m always excited to get a good sample, but often they just end up in my ‘sample box’ and I forget all about them. Lately I…
I can’t believe Christmas is over already, that seemed to come and go so quickly! I had a lovely quiet Christmas this year at my other halves parents, and a lot of food was consumed! I love being nosey at what other people got for Christmas, and if you’re one of those people too why…
I’m sure if you’ve had a look on my blog recently you will have seen I’ve become addicted to Lush. I don’t know what happened, it’s like one day I just woke up and needed to buy everything from that shop. In fact I even converted two of my friends (who had never been to…
My hair is usually a mess, it’s super thick, curly, and frizzy, and nothing ever seems to tame it. For years I’ve been trying a range of products to try and tame it, so I can look somewhat presentable, but my hair always seems to stay frizzy. I’m a sucker for products that say they…
A few weeks ago I mentioned how I broke my spending ban and gave in to buying a few Origins products. At the time my skin was in a dire need of TLC, and my current skincare routine wasn’t helping at all. So when payday came around I decided to give in and buy a few…
