If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?

It’s been a while since I’ve talked much about beauty products on here, despite me originally writing this as a beauty blog. Over the past year my interests have moved away a lot from beauty, what with buying my flat, cooking more, and doing more crafty things, I have a lot more to say than…
Ah Seche Vite, something I consider to be the holy grail of top coats. Gone are the hours waiting for my nails to dry, only for them to chip hours later, or get duvet imprints on them. Now thanks to my Seche Vite my nails dry quickly, stay shiny, and are chip resistant. But as…
I’ve always been bit of a self confessed Lush addict, especially when the Christmas range comes out each year, I just can’t resist it! Every year I stock up on Snow Fairy shower gel so I can smell of lovely sweet marshmallows all year. This year when I went into my local lush I spotted a couple…
Hello lovelies! It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve blogged – in fact a whole 2 weeks! I know I’ve been a bad blogger and haven’t done any decent posts in what feels like forever, but please bear with me! Since moving back to university it has somewhat taken over my life. I’m in…
I am forever buying new hair care products, or new shampoos to try out on my hair. It drives my poor boyfriend mad with the amount of bottles I have in our shower, all of which I need of course. I have quite dry hair, mostly because I’m a terrible person and use heat on…
