If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
During the winter months my skin becomes extra dry and sensitive, and sometimes can crack and become quite painful. So to ensure that I keep my skin hydrated it’s important to invest in a good body lotion. One product that I’ve been absolutely loving this winter is Lavera’s Rose Garden Body Lotion*. Lavera’s Rose Garden Body…
I don’t know about you, but I constantly get hair envy. Wherever I go I’m constantly looking at other girl’s hair, and usually wishing it was mine. I’m constantly dying my hair, and re styling it, but I’m never happy with the outcome. A few months ago I experimented with dying my hair dark red before going…

One thing I can never have enough of is lipstick. I have a whole drawer of the stuff, in every shade you could imagine. I usually stick to ‘drug store’ lipsticks, but every now and then it’s nice to try out a higher end product. One brand I’ve never really tried anything from, but have…
On the 23rd April my little space on the internet will turn 4! To celebrate my little blog growing up I wanted to run a little giveaway. As I started my blog based on my love of makeup, I thought it would be fitting to giveaway a box of makeup goodies! I’ve been picking up…
[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text] I think the idea behind beauty boxes are amazing. The idea of signing up to service that sends you samples of products you may have never tried or heard of before you buy them is great. So when All About Beauty* gave me the chance to try out one of their new boxes I…
