If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
I recently saw this post on Jess’s blog, and thought I’d give it a go myself! Jess tagged anyone who was reading so thought I’d try it out, and I too tag anyone who’s reading, so give it ago! Make Up Blusher or Bronzer – I don’t really use either, but I guess blusher…
Ah Seche Vite, something I consider to be the holy grail of top coats. Gone are the hours waiting for my nails to dry, only for them to chip hours later, or get duvet imprints on them. Now thanks to my Seche Vite my nails dry quickly, stay shiny, and are chip resistant. But as…
Hello Lovely’s! I thought I’d share with you yesterdays FOTD and OOTD. Me and a friend decided to go to the cinema to see Bad Teacher (I rate it ‘Meh’, it wasn’t that great), so I took up the chance to wear my new T-shirt and Jewelery I’d got earlier in the week. Also I’m…
I recently wrote in my June Loves about Rimmel London The Max Volume Flash Mascara, but I thought it was such a good product that I should review it properly. The product is described as: “Skinny to fat lashes in a flash! up to 14 x volume”. I always find it hard to believe a product is going to…
Since dying my hair red it’s been one of the things I’m asked about frequently. About how I managed to get it so red, what hair dye do I use, what products do I use to keep it red. I get asked about it so much, through the blog, and in real life, that I’m…
I decided to give a go at nail art! This is the first time I’ve tried it out and I’m surprised at how easy it was to do. Here’s what I did to create my strawberry nails: I used Models Own Red Alert, and Barry M’s Mint Green, and Black to create my nails…
