NOTD Blue Leopard Print

Ever since I bought my nail art pens that I blogged about here, I’ve got quite into nail art. I’m certainly no professional when it comes to nail art, but I have become quite good at some of the more simple designs. One of my favourite to do is leopard print.

Leopard print is one of those nail art designs that is ridiculously easy to do, and one that you can vary easily. I decided instead of sticking to the ‘traditional’ leopard print colours, I’d go for a more blue version. I painted my nails with Models Own Indian Ocean, which is a gorgeous bluey/purpely/pink sparkly colour from the beetle juice collection. I picked the beetle juice collection up a while a go, and instantly fell in love with this colour. It’s quite sheer so if you were to be wearing on its own you need about 3 coats to make it opaque. Alternatively, I’ve applied this before over a pale blue polish and it works just as well. This time I only applied 2 coats as I was using it as a background colour. Once dried I used the blue nail art pen to draw dots on my nails, and then the black pen to draw lines and ‘c’ shapes around the dots to create the leopard effect. And that’s all there is to it, the most simple nail art ever!

I’m determined to get more creative with my nail art, what are your favourite designs?
