I was bitten by the nail art bug again recently and wanted to try out something new. I’m still not feeling massively confident about trying out some more complicated designs so I decided to go back to an old favourite, leopard print. Leopard print was the first thing I learnt to do with nail art, and is an old favourite to go back to, I like that you can very it up by changing the colours you design it out of. I didn’t want to stick to just leopard print nails so decided to mix it up a little by adding some sparkles.
I used the base colour for my leopard print as one of the Barry M Gelly Nail Paints in the shade Blueberry, and used my nail art pens to draw on the leopard spots. For the glitter nails I used one of my favourite glitter polishes – Models Own Disco Mix. It’s a beautiful blue and purple kind of glitter, and I often find myself using it as an accent nail along side purple or blue shades. I think the idea of teaming leopard print up along side some glitter has really worked this time, it’s helped to break it up and to look a bit different. Maybe next time I’ll try something different with nail art…
