NOTD – Utopia Sparkles

I recently posted about my new nail varnish purchases, one of which was Rimmel London’s ‘Disco Ball’. I was eager to try this one out! And this was the outcome of my new polish (please excuse my messy nails! I was in a rush!). I think the name ‘Disco Ball’ definitely suits this nail varnish, as it stands out, and would be brilliant on nails for a night out! This is what I used:

I started off with Models Own ‘Utopia’, and applied around 3 coats to get a full opaque looking colour, and then applied around 4 coats of Disco Ball, to get a good amount of sparkles. It comes out quite thin, so the more sparkles you want, the more coats you should apply! I then applied my Seche Vite over the top to give it shiny finish.

I found that 4 coats of Disco Ball was enough, I’d probably do more for a night out etc, if I want glam nails that stand out. I’m very happy with Disco Ball, and I’ll probably be using it many many more times in the future!

Hope you enjoyed!
Have you used this before?

Pretty polka dotted nails to echo that retro game Retro seems to be making a comeback. The Telegraph reports that things that are obsolete like vinyl records, VHS tapes, and black-and-white photography are all finding places in the modern world. It seems, however, that nothing is being revived quite as fast as retro fashion is. [button link=”http://geni.us/ab2p”…
