The Skincare Tag

I was tagged by the lovely Clare from A Bit Of This And That in her skincare tag and I thought it would be fun to give it a go. I’ve got into skin care over the past year, but I’m still learning a lot about how to look after my skin. I like tags like this because it’s nice to see what other bloggers think of skin care and to have some fresh ideas.

So here are the questions!

Describe your skincare routine in 5 words..

Cleanse, Tone, Exfoliate, Moisturise and anti-aging. These are probably the five things I do to my skin everyday without fail. I know anti-aging might seem a bit extreme at my age but I like to think if I start looking after my skin now, it will look good when I’m older. Wishful thinking probably…

What’s your skin type?

This I’m not completely sure about as my skin goes through phases of what it wants to be. My skin tends to be sensitive, but is also dry, oily and I get a lot of breakouts. So I’m going to say combination, but if someone can actually diagnose my skin that would be useful!

What’s your favourite skincare product?

Currently it’s Lush’s Ultrabland. It’s a great cleanser and removes my make up completely – even heavy eye makeup, without irritating my skin. I always come back to this product if my skin is having a bad time as it seems to improve my skin.

Top blemish zapper

I think my all time favourite blemish zapper would have to be Lush Grease Lightening. I discovered this around about a year ago and since then have made sure I always have one on stock in case of any bad breakouts! I leave it on over night and it seems to calm down any angry spots I may have.

Face wipes yay or nay?

Massive nay. I  always have a massive lecture at my friends for using face wipes (Sophia and Chloe I’m looking at you!). Their just so awful for your skin, cleanse properly guys…

Toner yay or nay?

Massive yay! Toner helps as a second chance in case you’ve missed anything off of your face before you moisturise. As well as helping to reduce your pores.

High end skincare or high end makeup?

I don’t have too much to comment on this as I am a lover of the high street, but I’ve recently tried out a couple of high end skincare products and I’m impressed with it so far!

What’s the most unusual skincare product you’ve tried?

I think I’ll have to say the same as Clare on this one with the 24 K Gold eye masks. I got some as a sample a few months back and it was a little unusual..

You’re in a French pharmacy and can only pick one item – what is it?

I’m probably going to say Bioderma, just because I don’t know much else about french skincare!

Tell us your top skincare tip

My top tip would be to always take off your make up before going to bed! (Sophia and Chloe….) as it is no good at all for your skin!

I tag –
Helen
