Another week has just flown past, and what a busy one it’s been! It seems like only yesterday that I was sitting down on my Sunday morning (usually still in my pajamas, hey it’s Sunday) to type up my weekly update, and here I am again writing this week’s one.

Last week I wrote all about my new furbaby Victor, and quite honestly most of my week has been spent with this little guy. Last week all he wanted to was hide under the sofa as he was so nervous. He wouldn’t come near us and would only go eat when we weren’t in the room. It took a few days but he finally started to come out from under the sofa when we were in the room, but was still very nervous of us and Jeff our other kitty. Towards the end of the week he started to calm down, starting to want a fuss from us and would walk around the flat and play with his toys. Then at the weekend he started coming out and sitting on the furniture, letting us stroke him, and even started becoming best friends with Jeff. They’ve started to chase each other around and play together, and Victor is growing in his confidence with us too. It’s wonderful to see our two rescue kitties be happy.

Another great thing that happened this week is I finally got my half a stone award at my Slimming World group. I joined in November, but with Christmas and various social occasions I didn’t really start losing weight until January. It’s been a struggle at times, and I’m the sort of person who will gain one week and lose another, so to finally get to my half a stone was a massive achievement for me. I’m pretty chuffed and it’s definitely helping to spur me on and stay on track, hoping to see that stone award soon!

My weekend has then been a busy one, catching up with lots of friends and doing boring adult things like cleaning. On Friday night I met up with some of my friends for lots of wine and dinner out, which was lovely. We had a hilarious time and plenty of wine, something we really need to do more. Then last night I went to the cinema with two other friends I haven’t seen in ages, and we upgraded our seats so we could have unlimited nachos and popcorn, which I think is the best decision I’ve made in a very long time. So after a busy couple of days I’m looking forward to spending the day hanging out on my sofa with my cats.

How’s your week been?
