Now that I’m a homeowner and have to worry about paying my bills etc, money’s a little tighter than it used to be. Where I used to be able to do what I liked with my money, I now have to budget to make sure I can pay my bills and keep food on the table. While I’m doing okay financially, I don’t have a lot of spare money to buy some of the huge parts of furniture I need for the new place. Some people have savings, or inherit money, and want to invest it into something where they can receive a decent return on their investment. And peer to peer lending platforms, such as Lending Works, are helping those who need it, being a safe and legitimate way of lending and borrowing money from your peers.




When you lend with a peer to peer lending online, your money is split between a number of borrowers, who have all undergone vigorous checks, minimising the financial risk to yourself. Not only that, but you’re also covered by their insurance, protecting you against missed payments, so no more awkward conversations when your friends can’t pay you back on time.

Not only can you lend money, but Lending Works is also an affordable way of borrowing. All you need to do is use the loan calculator on the website and input the amount you want to borrow and for how long, and it calculates an estimate of your monthly repayments for you. There’s no fees for over payments or early settlements, making it a lot easier than other borrowing sites. Although it’s worth keeping in mind that this is just a quote, and not necessarily what the repayments will be after the application has been reviewed. 




I think this is a great option if you’re in need of a helping hand, and I’ll certainly be considering it if my washing machine decides to blow up in the future.
