If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
I’m bit of a self confessed nail varnish addict, I have over 70 bottles of the stuff. Yet I still keep wanting to add to my collection. I’ve always wanted to get my hands on O.P.I’s polishes as I hear so much about them in the blogging world, but at £10.50 it’s not something I…
For years it seems like I’ve been collecting, or more like hoarding, beauty samples. Samples of products I’m considering buying, samples from magazines, samples from orders, samples from pretty much anywhere! I just seem to collect them. For year’s I’ve had a box in my room which I call my sample box, everytime I get…

[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text] A while a go Danni posted on her blog about the chance to join in with her Nail Art Weekly Project and of course I jumped at the chance to join in. I love playing with nail varnish, and although I’m not that great with nail art, I thought it would be a fun…
I bought Models Own ‘Smash Up Silver’ a good month or so ago and I haven’t got round to reviewing it yet! O silly me! Since I discovered Barry M’s nail effects a few months back, I was hooked. I loved experimenting with the black over different colours, and being amazed at the outcome. Soon later Barry…
I’ve done a few of these posts in the past, they’re something I love looking back on to see how my make up tastes change, and it’s even a great way to rediscover old favourites I might have forgotten about. I find it easy to get stuck in a make up rut, using the same…
