If you read my blog, you’ll know by now that this summer I became a Lush addict. There are many Lush products that I love and I repurchase over and over, and then there are a few new ones I’ve decided to try out. Something that always interested me when I went into Lush was the shower jellies. They’d always be out on the display for you to ‘try’ when I’d walk into Lush, and the child in me would always go over and poke it. But I didn’t really understand what it was, the pot said it was like shower gel, but it was all solid and jelly like. Despite not really understanding what it was, it really fascinated me, so one day I decided to purchase it and see how I got on with it.
So the idea behind shower jelly is that its inbetween a shower gel and a bar of soap. It’s like a solid jelly like substance that your supposed to tear bits off and lather up into a shower gel. Sounds easy right? That’s what I thought until I got it home into my shower. So the tearing bits off of the jelly wasn’t too hard, in fact it was fairly easy. It was more the ‘trying-to-lather-it-up-and-hold-onto-it-in-the-shower’ that was difficult. So I had the bit of jelly, I attempted to lather it up, but it just kept falling out of my hands in the shower. It’s ridiculously hard to hold on to! But if you manage to lather it up and hold onto it, Sweetie Pie makes a really nice shower gel and I’ve become quite a fan of it.
What I think I love most about this is the smell, it smells like The Comforter Bubble Bar, my all time favourite thing from Lush, it just smells amazing. Also it’s purple and looks all glittery, what more could you want? Although I’ve really enjoyed this since I’ve got the hang of it, I think once I’ve used up all my shower jelly I won’t be repurchasing. It’s honestly a great product, and great fun, but I think it’s just a bit too much hassle for me, I much prefer a simple shower gel in a bottle form.
Have you tried this out before? What do you think about Shower Jellies?
I’m a huge lover of neutral eyeshadows, in fact they’re the only colours I’ll use. There’s nothing more I love than a natural brown smokey eye for a night out, I much prefer to use a colourful lipstick than a colourful eyeshadow. So when Chemist Direct contacted me and asked if I wanted to try out the [amazon…
You may have wondered why not everyone has milky white teeth just like the models that appear on toothpaste commercials. The reason is to be found in people’s individuality, as with eye and skin colour, every individual has a distinct tooth colour. This is the reason some people find it easier to maintain a sparkling…
I find that my nail varnish choices tend to go through ‘seasonal changes’, where come the spring summer months I find myself wearing bright bold colours, and this time of the year I go for darker, greyer shades. For some reason it just doesn’t feel right wearing a bright pink nail varnish when it’s grey…
Hi Girlies! So until July I only ever used foundation, concealer and powder on my face. No blusher, no bronzer, no highlight. It’s crazy looking back at that time, as now I couldn’t go without a bit more product on my face. Recently I’ve been getting into bronzing and contouring my face, helping to give my face…
A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by the lovely Michele from Oh! Organics asking if I’d like to review some of her products. I’ve always been intrested in the idea of organic skin care so I jumped at the chance. I must admit that until recently I’ve been very lazy with my skin care. And…
I’ve been trying to take better care of my skin lately, taking the time to have a proper skincare routine, and making sure I cleanse properly. Since sticking religiously to a good skincare routine I’ve seen some great results, and I’m now a big cleanser fan. I’ve been trying out all sorts of cleansers to…
