I always tend to find myself sticking to the same make up routine, using the same products over and over. So much so, that recently I decided to cut down on my make up collection. I found there was what seemed like 100’s of products I just wasn’t using, so I decided enough was enough, and bought myself some new Muji storage and decided what fitted in the drawers stayed and everything else had to find a new home. So with my newly reduced make up collection, all the products I had I actually used. With this I’ve created a sort of ‘everyday-go-to-make-up-routine’. I’ve managed to narrow this whole routine down to five minutes, which is coming in handy with my early mornings at the library.
I start off with my current favourite foundation, Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in the palest shade possible and buff that in with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. Then I take my Collection 2000 concealor and use it under my dark circles, and on any blemishes I have. Then I set my foundation with the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection powder, which I love because it doesn’t make my skin too matte. Then I start work on my eyebrows. I find that if I leave my brows naturally their rather pale and patchy from years of over plucking. So the Sleek Brow Palette helps to fill out my brows and make them look natural. Then on my lashes I use the Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Mascara* to give myself some nice long looking lashes. Then to contour I use the Bourjois ‘Chocolate’ Bronzer, which helps give my cheek bones a bit more depth. Then my current favourite blusher, the Vivo Cream Blush in Pink Glow, which gives my cheeks a nice rosey glow. To give myself a nice highlight I use Benefits Girl Meets Pearl on my brow bone and the tops of my cheeks. To finish it off I use the Sugar Rose Lip Treatment, just to give my lips a little colour. And there you have it, done in five minutes, giving myself some extra time in bed ;).
So I’m now onto week six of my 100 day spending ban, and I’m now approaching the half way mark. As I mentioned last week I’m feeling a bit deflated with it all. Despite doing fairly well during my spending ban with not buying any beauty products, and getting myself a job, I’ve still not managed to…
I’m sure if you’ve had a look on my blog recently you will have seen I’ve become addicted to Lush. I don’t know what happened, it’s like one day I just woke up and needed to buy everything from that shop. In fact I even converted two of my friends (who had never been to…
I frequently rave about Lush face masks on my blog. Since discovering them I’ve gone a bit mad for them and constantly find myself buying them. I tend to stick to the same ones so there’s not been many posts about them, but last time I was in Lush I decided it was about time…
I bought Models Own ‘Smash Up Silver’ a good month or so ago and I haven’t got round to reviewing it yet! O silly me! Since I discovered Barry M’s nail effects a few months back, I was hooked. I loved experimenting with the black over different colours, and being amazed at the outcome. Soon later Barry…
A few weeks ago I mentioned how I broke my spending ban and gave in to buying a few Origins products. At the time my skin was in a dire need of TLC, and my current skincare routine wasn’t helping at all. So when payday came around I decided to give in and buy a few…
Last month you may have seen my post Mission Longer Hair, where I was trying to grow out my hair. I talked about using Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment to try and help speed a long the process. I had never used this product before so I wasn’t sure what to expect, and I…
