I always tend to find myself sticking to the same make up routine, using the same products over and over. So much so, that recently I decided to cut down on my make up collection. I found there was what seemed like 100’s of products I just wasn’t using, so I decided enough was enough, and bought myself some new Muji storage and decided what fitted in the drawers stayed and everything else had to find a new home. So with my newly reduced make up collection, all the products I had I actually used. With this I’ve created a sort of ‘everyday-go-to-make-up-routine’. I’ve managed to narrow this whole routine down to five minutes, which is coming in handy with my early mornings at the library.
I start off with my current favourite foundation, Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in the palest shade possible and buff that in with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush. Then I take my Collection 2000 concealor and use it under my dark circles, and on any blemishes I have. Then I set my foundation with the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection powder, which I love because it doesn’t make my skin too matte. Then I start work on my eyebrows. I find that if I leave my brows naturally their rather pale and patchy from years of over plucking. So the Sleek Brow Palette helps to fill out my brows and make them look natural. Then on my lashes I use the Rimmel London Lash Accelerator Mascara* to give myself some nice long looking lashes. Then to contour I use the Bourjois ‘Chocolate’ Bronzer, which helps give my cheek bones a bit more depth. Then my current favourite blusher, the Vivo Cream Blush in Pink Glow, which gives my cheeks a nice rosey glow. To give myself a nice highlight I use Benefits Girl Meets Pearl on my brow bone and the tops of my cheeks. To finish it off I use the Sugar Rose Lip Treatment, just to give my lips a little colour. And there you have it, done in five minutes, giving myself some extra time in bed ;).
On a recent trip to my local Primark (I say local but I live 20 miles away from a town..), I discovered that Primark sell make-up now? Yes I might be very slow on this, but as I said I live ages away from a town and I’ve hardly been in Primark recently. I went…
Recently I’ve been trying to get a little more adventurous with my nail art. If you look through my nail art posts you’ll see the majority are just some form of leopard print, nothing too creative. When it comes to nail art I’m bit a newbie, and some of the extravagant designs are a little scary to attempt. Back in the #JulyLondonMeetUp goody…
I decided to give a go at nail art! This is the first time I’ve tried it out and I’m surprised at how easy it was to do. Here’s what I did to create my strawberry nails: I used Models Own Red Alert, and Barry M’s Mint Green, and Black to create my nails…
Clinique is a brand I’ve been aware of for as long as I can remember. It’s the one and only brand of makeup and skincare my mum uses (she’s not quite a beauty addict like me), and some I’ve grown up seeing the Clinique brand. Despite growing up with it there wasn’t many products I’d…
I’d never tried out ELF products before I saw a review for Runway Pink Lipstick on a blog. After seeing the photos of this gorgeous pink lipstick, I knew I had to have it. The moment it turned up I knew I was going to be hooked on this lipstick. It comes in a gorgeous…
Today my little part of the internet is five. FIVE. A whole five years of sitting and typing away at my laptop and taking photographs of my makeup, crazy. I never thought that I would still be doing this five years later, or that anyone would still be reading about the mundane details of my…
