Favourite Face Masks

In the past year or so I’ve actually started to care about my skin. I never used to have much of a routine, it was more of a ‘take off my make up and that’s it’ kind of thing. Then through reading other people’s blogs I learnt more about the importance of skin care and about how I should look after it while I’m young. Over six months I slowly started building up a skin care routine, making sure I did my best to stick to it. Once I got the basics covered I learnt about using additional ‘treats’ for your skin. One ‘treat’ I love to use is face masks. There’s nothing quite like having a good pamper session with a nice face mask, and here are just a few of my favourites.

Lush face masks have always been a favourite of mine, and in fact I don’t have a definite favourite among them. The one I’m currently using is Brazened Honey, which is meant to be a detoxing face mask. Since starting my new job and having 12 hour days I’ve found myself feeling a tad run down while I try to adjust to my new lifestyle. And due to this my skin has been suffering a little, so I picked up this face mask that’s supposed to help tired and dull skin get back to its glowing radiant ways. I do love Lush face masks as I think they smell amazing, my only problem with them is they only last for a month, and sometimes I end up wasting them because of this.

Another brand of face masks I enjoy using is from the Body Shop, my current favourite of theirs being the Honey & Oat 3 in 1 scrub mask. First of all I think this mask smells incredible! Not only does the smell of this make me want to eat it, but it does wonders to my skin. I’ve always been a little wary of scrub mask because of my sensitive skin, but this one doesn’t irritate me at all. In fact it leaves my skin feeling smooth and moisturised.

The other favourite I find myself reaching for is the Origins Clear Improvement face mask. I’d heard this one raved about in the beauty community but wasn’t sure if it was for me. I decided to give in after receiving a sample of this at a Origins counter. I love this one because it’s the type of mask that dries up quickly and you can leave on for ages. The charcoal in this mask helps to bring out all the dirty and gunk from your pores helping to clean out your skin and leaving it feel squeaky clean. I like using this one every other week to make sure I give my skin a good spring clean.

I have tried other face masks in the past but these three are the main ones, and ones that I always want to come back to. I am always looking for other good face masks, what are your favourites?

For the past couple of years I’ve heard great things about Moroccanoil. My hairdresser would rave about it, I’d see other bloggers and YouTubers rave about it, but I was yet to try it. For a long time I didn’t understand how using oil cold help my hair. Surely it would make it manky and…

Recently I’ve been trying to get a little more adventurous with my nail art. When it comes to nail art I’m bit a newbie, and some of the extravagant designs are a little scary to attempt. Back in the #JulyLondonMeetUp goody…
