Recently I’ve been trying to get a little more adventurous with my nail art. If you look through my nail art posts you’ll see the majority are just some form of leopard print, nothing too creative. When it comes to nail art I’m bit a newbie, and some of the extravagant designs are a little scary to attempt. Back in the #JulyLondonMeetUp goody bag I got a nail art kit with a dotting tool in, so I decided that instead of my usual lame attempt at polka dots I’d give this a go.
I decided to keep my nail art pretty simple as I’m still learning and don’t want to go too over the top. For the base colours I used Barry M’s White and Turquoise. Once I’d painted the base colour I then took the dotting tool and dotted the opposite colour on to the nail. The dotting tool also had two different sized ‘dots’ on each side so I could mix up what size they were to make it look a little different. I know this is a pretty simple nail art design to do but it was great fun to play around with a dotting tool. And if anyone is thinking about doing some nail art I’d certainly recommend getting one as it’s a lot easier to use!
