Weightloss Journey

My weight has always been somewhat an issue to me. When I was a young teen I put on a lot of weight, then I spent 5 years working at my McJob and went to university where my eating habits just got worse. After years of eating crap and bad habits I finally decided that it was time to do something about it. I tried to loose weight last year and managed to loose just over 2 stone, but then put a lot back on due to being lazy and unmotivated. So this time it had to be different, I wanted to lose the weight for once and for all. Only problem was I didn’t really know where to start and I always failed at dieting. So with the support from my Mumma we joined Weight Watchers together to help motivate each other to lose a few pounds.

So after a few months of sticking to the Weight Watchers plan I’ve now lost 18.5lbs! I do feel like I’m slightly cheating as I haven’t felt like I’ve been on a ‘diet’ at all, I’ve been eating everything I like, I’ve just learnt how to in moderation and with portion control. I really like the Weight Watchers plan as it’s pretty simple to follow and the weekly meetings help to keep me motivated. As well as having my mum on board with me (who’s lost over 3 stone now!) I also have some lovely bloggers to keep me motivated – Sophia  (who’s also doing WW) and Jess. Having people who are also on a weightloss journey to talk to really helps, especially if I’m feeling unmotivated I know that these girls are only a tweet or so away (or in my mum’s case somewhere in my house) to help me stay on track.

For a long time I didn’t feel any different, I knew I’d lost the weight but I didn’t feel like I could see any difference. It’s only when I put this picture together that I noticed the change in my face.

August 2012, March 2013, April 2013, December 2013.

Between the first and the last photo there’s a difference of 2 stone, but its only between the last two photos that I’ve been on my Weight Watchers journey. It’s only when I looked at these photos together I could see the difference. I’m also feeling a lot better in my self, my energy levels are up, my sleep has improved, and as I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome I’ve found that now I’ve lost some weight my joints aren’t hurting as much.  I’m happy with the progress I’ve made so far. I still have a lot more that I want to lose, but I know that I’m going in the right direction.

  • Bingo-Inspired Nails

Pretty polka dotted nails to echo that retro game Retro seems to be making a comeback. The Telegraph reports that things that are obsolete like vinyl records, VHS tapes, and black-and-white photography are all finding places in the modern world. It seems, however, that nothing is being revived quite as fast as retro fashion is. [button link=”http://geni.us/ab2p”…
