If you saw my Bourjois A-Z of Beauty Giveaway Winnings post you’ll have seen I was lucky to get my hands on several things from Bourjois, and one of them included one of the Shine Edition Lipsticks in the shade Rouge Making Of. Being a complete lipstick addict this is one of the first things I got around to playing with first. I also thought that out of everything the packaging stood out the most.
First thing I thought when I tried this was how it reminded me of the Revlon Lip Butters. The packaging, texture and the balm like feel of it, are all very similar. One thing that I found to be different is the pigmentation of the colour. I have the shade Rouge Making Of, a gorgeous bright red shade, and I found that once applied it stayed on for hours. In fact I completely forgot I even applied it and caught my reflection hours later to find it was still there. Just like the Revlon Lip Butters I found it to be super moisturising, which will come in pretty handy now we’re approaching the winter months. I’m not normally a bright red lip type of girl, in fact I’ve only just started venturing out into the world of a dark red lip. So when I first opened this I thought it seemed a little bright, and wasn’t too sure if this would be for me. However when I applied it I found it didn’t come out so bright, and you could even apply it with a lip brush if you wanted a more softer colour.
I think I’m some what smitten with this Shine Edition Lipstick, and I think it may be making several appearances in my daily make up. I’m now even eyeing up some more of the Bourjois Shine Edition Lipsticks…

So here’s this months monthly offering. Vitamin…
Kerastase is a brand to me that has always felt luxurious and high end. I’ve only ever tried a handful of products from Kerastase, my favourite being the Nutrive Nectar Thermique, but everything I’ve tried has impressed me. It was when I was looking for an intensive hair treatment when I came across Kerastase’s Fondant Nutri-Thermique,…

Recently I’ve been painting my nails with dark and neutral colours. Browns, greys, taupes, that kind of thing. But as the sun has been coming out recently, it’s made me want something a little brighter on the nails. If your a long term follower of my blog you’ll know Barry M is one of my…
Natural Collection tends to be a brand I’ve ignored in Boots. It just always reminded me of when I was 12/13 and started first playing with makeup. I always thought that because their products were cheap that they wouldn’t be any good. It wasn’t until a couple of months ago I heard about some of…
