If you saw my Bourjois A-Z of Beauty Giveaway Winnings post you’ll have seen I was lucky to get my hands on several things from Bourjois, and one of them included one of the Shine Edition Lipsticks in the shade Rouge Making Of. Being a complete lipstick addict this is one of the first things I got around to playing with first. I also thought that out of everything the packaging stood out the most.
First thing I thought when I tried this was how it reminded me of the Revlon Lip Butters. The packaging, texture and the balm like feel of it, are all very similar. One thing that I found to be different is the pigmentation of the colour. I have the shade Rouge Making Of, a gorgeous bright red shade, and I found that once applied it stayed on for hours. In fact I completely forgot I even applied it and caught my reflection hours later to find it was still there. Just like the Revlon Lip Butters I found it to be super moisturising, which will come in pretty handy now we’re approaching the winter months. I’m not normally a bright red lip type of girl, in fact I’ve only just started venturing out into the world of a dark red lip. So when I first opened this I thought it seemed a little bright, and wasn’t too sure if this would be for me. However when I applied it I found it didn’t come out so bright, and you could even apply it with a lip brush if you wanted a more softer colour.
I think I’m some what smitten with this Shine Edition Lipstick, and I think it may be making several appearances in my daily make up. I’m now even eyeing up some more of the Bourjois Shine Edition Lipsticks…
So I’m kinda new to the whole make-up brush scene (Don’t ask me how I’ve ever coped I have no idea!), and purchased my first set of make-up brushes last week. Mr Postman delivered them to me early Tuesday morning, I’ve never been so excited! I got this set of 12 make-up brushes…
Since I was Eleven I’ve always had troubles with my skin, I used to have terrible acne and my skin is always looking a bit meh. I always thought that one day my skin would grow out of it’s ‘awkward teenage phase’, and although the majority of my acne cleared, I was still left with…
Well as you can see I’ve had a little bit of a spending spree this week! The silly bank informed me that I could extend my overdraft, O the fools. So off I went with my newly extended overdraft and decided to treat myself to a few things as its been months since I’ve…
I’ve never really been one for skincare, having always kept my skincare routine very very simple only using face wash. But since discovering Superdrug’s Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser a month ago I’ve seen such an amazing difference in my skin. I’ve been using it as a permanent part of my skincare routine and the results have…
Lately on the blog I’ve been sharing with you my Best of 2013 series including Hair Products, Skin Care, and Body Products. Today I’m sharing with you what my favourite makeup products were in 2013. Being bit of a makeup addict I really thought this would be the longest post of them all, but it…
In my dressing table I have three compartments, one for face products, one for eye products, and one for lip products. Recently I noticed the one for lip products was getting a little full, so decided to give it bit of a clear out when I realised why it seemed so full, I own far…
