Current Everyday Make Up

When you’re a make up junkie like me it’s easy to have a collection of items – 5 mascaras, 3 foundations, and countless lipsticks. When you have several of something it’s hard to use all of what you have. I’m trying to do bit of a ‘shopping my stash’ lately and use up products I actually have. Every weekend I go through my products and try to decide what make up items I’ll be using on my face that week. Then I try my best to stick to it and usually fail. So here’s what products I’m using on my face this week.

I’ve never usually been bothered by primers but I picked up this Seventeen Flawless Poreless Primer from Boots because it was on offer. As far as it goes as a primer I’m not seeing great results yet, but I have only used it a handful of times. Then I use the Seventeen CC Cream. I’ve never had an amazing experience with BB creams but I really wanted to try what the whole CC cream thing was about. So far I’m getting on well with it! Then I use my usual Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealor and Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Powder which both seem to do the job. I like to colour in my eyebrows as they’re rather thin and pale and don’t stand out how I like them to, so I use my HD Brows kit which I find fills in my eyebrows nicely without being too over the top. Then I use the Smooch Cosmetics Black Lash Mascara, which is a new addition to my make up collection. To finish off my face I use my MAC Hello Kitty Collection Blush in the shade Fun and Games and the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipgloss in the shade Punch Bowl.

This is the make up I then have set aside for the week coming up for my ‘everyday look’. Sometimes it changes around if I’m going out and want a darker lip but I usually stick to this look.

Do you have any make up that you wear on a daily basis?

  • Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation

Over the past year I’ve found myself turning to more ‘high end’ foundations, with MAC’s Studio Fix Fluid and Clinque’s Even Better being a couple of my favourites. Now that I’ve tried a few high end foundations, I can’t see myself going back to a high street alternative. The application, the coverage and the exact colour match is just…

Technically as it’s the end of August, it’s not really summer anymore. I say technically because I’ve still got a wardrobe of summer clothes I haven’t touched this year, and I’m pretty sure there’s only been about 4 days where it’s been hot. Regardless of it not being that warm, I’ve still been wearing a…
