I’m a recent graduate. Not only does this mean that I’m currently unemployed with an unhealthy obsession with Loose Women and Storage Hunters (brilliant shows FYI), but it means I’m on the hunt for a full time job. Being six months post graduation I’m getting job interviews down to a fine art now. As it’s always important to look presentable at interviews I’ve found myself wearing the same makeup for each interview. Nothing to over the top or dark, but simple everyday make up.
I like to start off with a good primer as some of my interviews take over an hour to get to if they’re in London, so this ensures that my makeup will stay in place all day. My current primer of choice is Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer, which also gives your skin a nice glowy radiant look. Then I use my Clinique Even Better foundation to create my base, and my Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealor to hide any blemishes or dark circles. To set my foundation I then use a powder, and my current one of choice is Seventeen’s Miracle Matte Pressed Powder. Then to fill in my eyebrows I use Faint from my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, and use my Bourjois Twist Up The Volume Mascara. To put a bit of colour on my face I use Bourjois Cream Bulush in shade Rose Tender, which just adds a subtle pop of colour on the cheeks. I then finish off with Benefit’s High Beam highlighter on the brow bone and on the tops of my cheeks, and use my MAC Fanfare lipstick, which just gives off a ‘my lips but better’ kind of colour.
So that’s my simple basic makeup that’s suitable to wear to job interviews, and isn’t too over the top or in your face. Now just to ace these interviews..
I keep finding myself sticking to a makeup routine. Despite the fact I have many products sitting in my Muji drawers I often find myself reaching for the same products day after day. I try to sometimes mix around the products I go for, but sometimes it’s nice to have a routine that only takes…
In the past few years I’ve become a little obsessed when it comes to oils, using them for my skin, hair, body, and even in my baths. They’re becoming part of my regular beauty routines, and I can’t see myself living without them. One of my favourites is The Body Shop’s Shea Beautifying Oil. I…
Recently I’ve been trying to get a little more adventurous with my nail art. If you look through my nail art posts you’ll see the majority are just some form of leopard print, nothing too creative. When it comes to nail art I’m bit a newbie, and some of the extravagant designs are a little scary to attempt. Back in the #JulyLondonMeetUp goody…

And finally on Monday the time came to put the hashtag to use, the London meet up organised by the lovely Sophia from Tattooed Tealady, and co organised by the wonderful Sophie…
Betrousse’s beauty boxes are something I’ve seen I’ve seen floating around in the blogosphere world, and have always looked to me like more than your average beauty box. Instead of your usual monthly box subscription, you have the option to buy a box with full sized samples in. Yes you heard me correctly, full sized…
It feels like its been absolutely forever since I’ve done a NOTD post! Despite being a nail varnish addict I haven’t done a NOTD post since mid August??!?! Wow. I’m constantly painting my nails and lately I’ve been getting a little bored of my nail polishes. Even though I have a rather large collection, I’ve…
