When it comes to skin care I really think you’re getting what you pay for. Once upon a time I used to buy a £2 cleanser and moisturiser and expect it to work miracles on my skin, of course it never did. It was only when I discovered Origins Never A Dull Moment Cleanser that I realised if you invest in good skin care, it can work wonders. A brand that I’ve loved for ages is Clinique, but I’ve always stuck to the same products, and not really tried anything else. For my birthday I got a few Boots vouchers so I decided to treat myself to a few new skincare products from Clinique.
I needed a new daily moisturiser, because I discovered my current one was running out and didn’t contain a SPF. As I have combination skin the sales assistant reccomended I tried out the Superdefense Daily Defense Moisturiser SPF 20. It’s meant to be great for hydration, and contains UVA/UVB protection, but also works as a light moisturiser. It’s also apparently great for anti-aging, which although isn’t one of my main skin concerns, is to good to start doing. I also picked out a new eye cream, and settled on Clinique’s All About Eyes. All About Eyes is a lightweight eye cream that helps the appearance of puffiness, darkness and fine lines – which is perfect for me, as I always make up with horrible puffy eyes. The cream gel formula is also apparently great at keeping eye makeup in place, so that’s a plus in my books too.
I’m excited to try these out, and I hope they impress me as well as the previous Clinique products I’ve used in the past. Hopefully they’ll work their way into being firm favourites in my skin care collection.
