A New Love: Lola Marc Jacobs

Lola by Marc Jacobs for Women

I’ve never been much of a perfume lover but recently I’ve found myself lusting over the stuff. As you may have known, me and the boyfriend were together for a year the other week, and for one of my presents he bought me Lola Marc Jacobs perfume. The good boy had listened to all my hinting and went off and bought me the 30ml bottle (he scored several boyfriend points!).
So first of all lets talk about the packaging. I love how Lola has a cute flower on top of the bottle, and was in fact one of the first things that attracted me to the perfume when one of my friends showed me it years ago. The bottle its self is a pale purple colour, along with the red pink and blue flower (the flower on top of the 30ml is different than the other sizes for some reason), makes it a super girly looking bottle.
Next the smell, I find that the smell is not overpowering and you don’t need to spray loads either. The fragrance notes are:
Top-note of pink peppercorn, pear, red grapefruit.
* Heart-note of rose fuchsia, geranium
* Bass-notes of vanilla, tonika bean, creamy musk
I find the smell to be gorgeous and girly, and easy to wear in the day or the evening!
I have the 30ml bottle (which is apparently handbag size, but I still think its rather large!), but it also comes in 50ml, and 100ml. And after some research I found that there’s a special velvet edition bottle in 50ml, where the perfume is exactly the same, but instead is in a beautiful frosted bottle with a velvet lid.
So now has started a new perfume addiction. I’m planning to spend some of my Christmas money on more perfume, so recommend me your favourite perfumes as I’m new to this!
Do you wear this perfume? What’s your favourite perfume?

A while ago I never understood why anyone would pay around the £20/30 mark for a foundation. I just didn’t understand why you’d spend so much money on a foundation when you can buy a ‘drugstore’ version for around the £10 mark. I thought surely they can’t provide that much more coverage, or make my…

Cleaning my makeup brushes is something I try to do on a weekly basis. There’s nothing worse than the look of dirty makeup brushes, and of course how unhygienic they are. • Earthnicity Minerals Makeup

When it comes to foundation I’ve always been a heavy coverage kind of girl. It’s only in recent years since I’ve had luck with my skincare routine, that I’ve ventured to more of a light coverage.
