17 Peepshow Mascara & Eye Palette

The other day I was wondering around Boots looking at the makeup like I usually do, when something caught my eye. The new 17 Peepshow Mascara stood out to me with its cute pink packaging, and then I saw you got a free Eye Palette with the purchase as well as £1 off,  and well who can turn down a good deal? I loved 17’s Falsifeye mascara so I was hoping for great things from this mascara.

I was so happy when I saw the palette came with neutral eyeshadows – everyone know’s I’m a lover of neutral ‘everyday’ shades. The palette comes with four different shades. A slightly shimmery dark brown, a matte grey-black, a pink toned shimmery shade and a brown shimmery shade. Their quite pigmented, but work much better if you apply a primer under them. You’ve got the perfect mix of colours for an everyday smokey eye, and the pale pinky shade doubles up as a great highlight!

“Where’d ya get those peepers? Flash your lashes with our fibre-rich formulation which lengthens lashes from root to tip. 17 Peep Show Mascara gives you voluptuous volume and no clumps…just a full, flirty flutter.

When I first got home from Boots I noticed I’d picked up the shade Brown/Black by accident (I normally stick to black mascara’s), and felt slightly gutted that I wouldn’t be using this mascara as much. But since using it I’ve found that I’m loving brown mascara more than black. And teamed up with a bit of MUA’s  pencil eyeliner in Rich Brown, my eyes look lovely and defined without being so dramatic which I can find black eyeliners can do. I find the mascara wand to be a little clumpy, and a lot of the mascara sticks to it, but after giving it a little wipe I found it went onto my lashes perfectly without being too clumpy or giving you those spider lashes. I found that it also gave me amazingly long eyelashes with loads of volume. I think my much loved Rimmel London Day 2 Night Mascara might be having a run for its money here…

I got the 17 Peepshow Mascara & Eye Palette for £5.29 (normally £6.29).
Rating – I’d give this an 8/10. Even though the eye shadows aren’t super pigmented they work great over an eyeshadow primer. The mascara gives great length and volume to my lashes without being too clumpy.
