Summer OOTD

I’ve never really been one to post outfits of the day type of posts for a few reasons. One, because I’m not really into fashion at all. I’m hopeless at it and I’ve never really been into it like I have with beauty. Two, I have no idea how some fashion bloggers take such amazing OOTD photos! I had to rope a friend in to take mine (you mean you want me to take photos of you standing in the garden…?). And three, because I’m rather on the plus sized side (or fat if we’re going to be painfully obvious..). I put on a lot of weight in my teenage years and never really got rid of it, it’s made me feel self conscious, and thanks to lovely internet trolls over on my YouTube  channel, comments have sometimes got to me.

Regardless of this I decided I was in dire need of some new summer wear as all I had in my wardrobe was jeans and leggings, and the heat was starting to get to me. I’ve always been an admirer of maxi dresses and skirts and when I saw this beauty of a maxi skirt in Primark I had to have it. It’s really light and floaty, which is perfect for this crazy heatwave we’re having. I also really love how simple it is, making it easy to dress it up with anything, but I just went for a simple black vest top, sandals and huge sunglasses. One thing I like about maxi skirts is how they come in at the waist and skim down, making us plus sized girls look a little more flattering. I loved this skirt so much that I actually picked up a couple more maxi skirts so I can spend the rest of this hot weather lounging around outside in them.

And there you have a very rare OOTD post from me, complete with my stupidly pale skin, in my slightly burnt grassed garden, complete with my mental kitten Branston running around in the background… Maybe the first of many OOTD posts?

  • Chelsea Boots

Come the colder months I basically live in jeans and boots, in fact I have several pairs of boots that I break out at this time of year. Despite having a shoe shops worth of boots, I’m always looking out for a new pair, and that’s when this pair of Chelsea Boots caught my eye….
