Reflecting On 2014 & 2015 Resolutions

Every year I sit down to write this post and think ‘bloody hell where has this year gone’, but bloody hell where has this year gone!?! 2014 hasn’t been too much of an exciting year, it started off with me finally getting a job since graduating which was exciting, but after 6 months I realised it wasn’t what I wanted to do and went in search of a new job, which has worked out much better for me! The first half of 2014 also saw Chris move in with me and my parents, meaning our long distance relationship ended, and the plan was to get our own place by now, but we’re rubbish at saving money!

2014 has also included some amazing times with my friends and blogging friends! In July my best friend and her husband welcomed their little girl into the world, and I’m completely smitten with her. Luckily she lives around the corner from me so I can always find excuses to go see her! I’ve also celebrated another friend getting engaged, and another buying a house! Seems like all my friends are growing up this year!

I also had some of the worst times in 2014, one being my mum having a stroke. There aren’t words I can write to explain just how horrible the last two months have been, especially the month she was in hospital and we didn’t know if she would be coming home. It was an incredibly scary time, but my mum is home and on the mend! There’s still issues with her health but I think she’s one hell of an amazing woman and she never gives up, my mum is bad-ass.

So what do I want from 2015?

Move Out
Probably the biggest thing I want to do for 2015. I’ll turn 24 in 2015 and I don’t want to be living at my parents anymore, I want to try and start my own life. Chris and I really want our own place so we’re determined to save up some money so we can move out next year.

Lose some more weight
As I failed at losing anymore weight this year I’d really like to get back in control and lose some more weight. I’ve even bought some new trainers to help me get into the gym again!

Move forward with my career
I’m now in a job I love, and I really want to see 2015 give me more opportunities with my career. I can definitely see this happening where I work as there seems to be plenty of room for me to grow!

Keep up with a blog schedule
At times I can really be awful with this blog and I want to keep up with a blog schedule, and be organised with scheduling my posts, which will certainly help me out! I’m hoping to have lots of lovely posts going up in 2015, and hopefully I’ll stick to a schedule!

Create some savings
I’m terrible at saving money, and 2015 is the year I’d like to sort out my finances and organise some savings! Really it can only be a good thing and help me out in the future, so time to get my act into gear!

I hope you have a happy new year! 🙂

Okay confession time, I’m a Coronation Street addict. Without fail I watch it every week, and I often spend my time looking up storyline spoilers. I’m sad I know.
