Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask

I only really discovered Origins products earlier this year when I started off with the Never A Dull Moment Cleanser.  I got on so well with the cleanser, and found the sales assistant so helpful that I decided to go back for more skin care advice. I had a chat with her about what I wanted from my skincare routine, and she helped me through the steps I should be taking with my skin. One thing that was suggested to me was the Clear Improvement Charcoal Mask, as my skin is often breaking out due to blockages in my pores. Sounds lovely I know..

The idea behind the Clear Improvement Charcoal mask is that it helps to draw out the impurities in your skin with the charcoal, and white china clay absorbs any environmental pollutants, while lecithin dissolves the impurities. The sales assistant talked it through with me and it sounded exactly what I was looking for in a face mask, and I couldn’t wait to get it home to try it out.

I use it by applying a thin layer on my face and leaving it to dry for around 10-15 minutes before I wash it off. The first time I used this I was amazed with the results. My skin instantly looked a lot cleaner, my spots looked a lot calmer, and it felt a lot fresher. I could also tell after a couple of uses that more pores were starting to look a lot smaller and tighter, so I’ve instantly started using this as a permanent addition to my skincare routine. I tend to use this twice a week, maybe more if I’m having a particularly bad skin week, and once being part of my Triple Threat Facemask. Once again Origins have amazed me with their skin care products, and I know this is a product I can never be without again.

  • Concoctions Shampoo

When I was at the TOWIB event in June, one of the brands that caught my eye was Concoction. The idea behind their brand was to mix together different ‘ingredients’ to formulate your own shampoo with what you’ve decided you want in it. I thought the idea behind it was great, but at the TOWIB event I…

Clinique is a brand I’ve grown up and loved. My mum first bought me some of their skincare items when I was going through my bad teenage skin times, and since then I’ve always felt very loyal to the brand. Despite this I’ve never really used much of their makeup products, only trying out a…
