It’s been a busy couple of weeks with Christmas parties, visiting family, and of course the big day it’s self. Now that the festive season is well and truly over, and my Christmas tree is packed away, it’s time to get back into a routine. Tomorrow is my first day back to work after a week and a half off, and although I’m looking forward to getting back into my usual routine, I don’t know how I’m going to get through a day at work without an afternoon nap.

I didn’t really have many plans for my time off, just lots of visiting family, but Chris and I managed to squeeze in a trip to London to see the Cosmonauts exhibit at the Science Museum during our time off. And of course there was New Years Eve. This year I spent it doing the exact same thing I did bringing in the year. We went up to Loughbrough to see our two best friends from uni with two other friends, for a black tie dinner. For months me and Connie have been sending messages to each other about what dress we were going to wear, how to do our hair etc, so when it finally came round to it I was pretty excited. This year the venue also had a photobooth, and after several glasses of champagne, this seemed like the best idea ever. Once again it was another great way to bring in the new year.

The rest of today is going to be spent on my sofa, probably eating the rest of my Christmas food, making the most of my last day off before going back to work. How’s your Sunday going?

It’s been nearly two months now since we finally completed on our flat. The whole process took around 5 months, which I know might seem quite quick, but we were told it would only be 8 weeks, so it felt pretty long for us! The past two months have been spent packing, unpacking, painting, buying IKEA…

  • A Spot Of Cream Tea

I love cream teas, in fact I always find an excuse to stop at cute little coffee shops to enjoy a pot of tea and a warm scone. There’s just nothing nicer than them. Since I’ve moved house there’s no where really around here where I can get my scone fix, so I was happy…
