I’m a recent graduate. Not only does this mean that I’m currently unemployed with an unhealthy obsession with Loose Women and Storage Hunters (brilliant shows FYI), but it means I’m on the hunt for a full time job. Being six months post graduation I’m getting job interviews down to a fine art now. As it’s always important to look presentable at interviews I’ve found myself wearing the same makeup for each interview. Nothing to over the top or dark, but simple everyday make up.
I like to start off with a good primer as some of my interviews take over an hour to get to if they’re in London, so this ensures that my makeup will stay in place all day. My current primer of choice is Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer, which also gives your skin a nice glowy radiant look. Then I use my Clinique Even Better foundation to create my base, and my Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealor to hide any blemishes or dark circles. To set my foundation I then use a powder, and my current one of choice is Seventeen’s Miracle Matte Pressed Powder. Then to fill in my eyebrows I use Faint from my Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, and use my Bourjois Twist Up The Volume Mascara. To put a bit of colour on my face I use Bourjois Cream Bulush in shade Rose Tender, which just adds a subtle pop of colour on the cheeks. I then finish off with Benefit’s High Beam highlighter on the brow bone and on the tops of my cheeks, and use my MAC Fanfare lipstick, which just gives off a ‘my lips but better’ kind of colour.
So that’s my simple basic makeup that’s suitable to wear to job interviews, and isn’t too over the top or in your face. Now just to ace these interviews..
I keep mentioning it on the blog recently, but I’m becoming a Lush ADDICT. It started off with a bath bomb here, and a bubble bar there, but now I want everything Lush sell. So when payday came around yesterday, I had a sneaky trip to Lush and went a bit mad, and came out…
When it comes to nail varnish shades I tend to be a bit boring. My collection seems to be full of different shades of grey, browns and beige’s, and other generally unoffensive neutral colours. Despite having already got hundreds of neutral shades I often find myself admiring others, insisting on the fact it is a…
I never really caught on to the BB Cream hype when it first came around. I was a high coverage foundation type of girl. I ended up trying a sample of the Garnier one everyone raved about, but found there wasn’t enough coverage for me and didn’t like how my skin looked. I also found…
If you’ve been a close follower of my blog over the past few years you’ll have seen that many Lush products have been mentioned. I’ve grown quite an obsession with their products, and my bathroom is slowly filling up with all sorts of bath bombs and bubble bars. I decided its about time I dedicated…
I swear all I’m blogging about lately is Christmas – I can’t help it, it’s my favourite time of the year! The lovely Jess from Lovely Jubbly tagged me in her Christmas tag, and well it would be rude to not join in! 1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s? It’s A Wonderful Life. No idea…
The Ojon Rare Blend Oil is something I’ve heard about in the blogosphere for the longest time. It’s been on my wishlist for well over a year now but even though I’m a self confessed hair oil lover, I just couldn’t see myself parting with £30 for one. It wasn’t until my boyfriend’s parents gave…
